Ellen Krauss is a playful, charismatic, and emotionally-charged singer-songwriter who’s been writing and playing music in her bedroom since the age of four. Completely self-taught, Ellen spent hours watching tutorials on YouTube and soaking up inspiration from artists ranging from Ed Sheeran and Adele, to AC/DC and Bruce Springsteen.
“Writing music feels so natural, like having a conversation between myself and the guitar,” Ellen says.
Ellen’s music remained a private expression until she began posting covers on SoundCloud and performed her own music at a school concert. The collective response was huge, and she was soon discovered by Swedish producers Christian Walz and Johan “Jones” Westerberg who encouraged her to further develop her talent.
Through her stripped-down, cinematic, and melodic music, Ellen challenges the norms her generation is fighting with and conveys unfiltered messages straight from the heart. In June 2018, at just 18 years old, Ellen was awarded the Rookie Artist of the Year prize by Denniz Pop Awards for her unique voice and fantastic songwriting talent. In the fall of the same year, she signed with a major label in USA. Her very first single, “The One I Love,” debuted in April 2019.
