Carly Rae Jepsen New Member of Denniz Pop Awards Jury
Max Martin, Tove Lo, and the rest of the gang from the Denniz Pop Awards jury will now be joined by grammy nominated, multi platinum recording artist, singer songwriter, Carly Rae Jepsen. Together, they will handpick the winners of 2018’s prizes which will be awarded to promising songwriters, producers, and artists. “I’m really looking forward to hearing what all the talented upcoming producers, songwriters, and artists have been working on,” says Carly Rae Jepsen.
Denniz Pop Awards is all about keeping Denniz Pop’s legacy alive. The awards aim to uplift and recognize promising talents within songwriting, production, and artistry.
The already prestigious jury will now be fortified with the addition of the Canadian superstar, Carly Rae Jepsen.
Carly Rae Jepsen first appeared on the charts in and airwaves in 2012 with her now diamond certified hit “Call Me Maybe”, and has been enjoying a series of successes ever since including with her most recent album emotion which received critical acclaim and inclusion on multiple ‘Best Album of the Year’ lists. Jacob Schulze, initiator of Denniz Pop Awards and chairman of the jury, is both proud and happy over this new addition to the jury.
“For us in the jury, it feels really cool to be able to welcome Carly Rae Jepsen to the gang,” says Jacob Schulze. “She has, time after time, demonstrated that she is a songwriter and artist of world-class. It’s going to be exciting to have access to her input and perspective.”
The Rookie Artist/Band and Producer/Songwriter of the Year awards both include a check for 10,000 dollars. Since the beginning of 2013, a total of 100,000 dollars has been awarded to promising music talents. This year’s prize will be distributed during the awards gala on June 6.

The jury consists of some of Sweden’s biggest names in music: Max Martin, Tove Lo, Rami Yacoub, Laleh, Jörgen Elofsson, Andreas Carlsson, Jacob Schulze, John Amatiello, Kristian Lundin, David Kreuger and Per Magnusson. People who, together with Denniz Pop, have contributed to “The Swedish Music Wonder” and have themselves enjoyed great international success in the music industry. The jury now welcomes its newest member, Carly Rae Jepsen.
